Laveta “Joreen” Skelton Obituary
Laveta “Joreen” Skelton (Sanders), 86, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2015 with her family by her side. Joreen was born to Fred and Hazel (Carr-Williams) on September 21, 1928 in Cassville, Missouri. She married Cecil Lewis Skelton on May 20, 1946 in Columbus, Kansas. Joreen had many hobbies including golfing, dancing, bingo and playing cards. She was faithful member of the Harmony Baptist Church in Mesa, Arizona. She leaves behind her loving daughters in Cecilia “CeCe” Fix (Donald) Dufur, Oregon, Debra Miller (Darron), Goodyear, Arizona. She also had four grandchildren Heather Anthony (Deric), The Dalles, Oregon, Darron Shane Miller, Austin, Texas, Justin McLaughlin (Tiffany), Dufur, Oregon and Michael Joseph Miller, Austin, Texas. Joreen had six great grandchildren Kylie, Sydney, Tabor, Kaylee, Isaac and Marshal. Her brothers Dick Sanders (Wanda) and Don Sanders (Mary) and sister Alene Swadley (Gene). She was preceded in death by her husband Cecil in 1977, also her parents Fred and Hazel, three brothers Leon, Virgil, Eldon and sister Karolyn.
