Bessie was born Nov. 11, 1941 and transitioned on Dec, 04th 2013, she was the youngest of fourteen children born to Lee Tanksley and Missoura (Windham) Tanksley . She is survived by her two children Darnella (Kay) McDonald of Gilbert, AZ, and Barnela (Sheila) Tabb of Centreville, IL; 5 grandchildren Kenya, Knishawn, Shanna, Darnella and Martika; 6 great grandchildren Kimberlyn, Samuel, Malia, Izabella, Jael, and Abram. Of her siblings there are three that remain Marcello Tanksley, Mann Tanksley, and Alice Ruth Brown. This phenomenal woman of courage, kindness, and wisdom will be in our thoughts and memories always. Our condolences to the Tanksley and Windham families from Victor Jones and the Lemons family. We will truly miss talking to Aunt Bessie via telephone weekly with encouraging words and advice. We will never forget her favorite saying: I love you more at the end of each phone call. We will miss you from Victor Jones, Marjorie Lemons, Sylvia Davis, Darrell Davis, Victor Lemons, Tyrone Lemons, Maurice Lemons and a host of great nieces and nephews in Utah.
I loved Bessie so much!! She was one of my dialysis patients before I moved out of State in Sept. I loved her!! Her sweet spirit and love for God were ever present. I know she has her wings, so listen for a bell, that will be her. xoxox
