Thomas G. Scala, 66, of San Tan Valley, Arizona entered eternal rest on July 7,2020

Tom was born in Akron, Ohio, went to Immaculate Heart of Mary elementary and Woodridge High School. Tom loved his kids, riding horses and playing cards. Out of high school in the early 70’s he followed his dad’s footsteps and went into the construction business working for Kenmore Construction. That was the start of it all. Then moving to Arizona in the early 80’s working with his dad at Scala Granite Pit. In the late 90’s he owned and operated Superstition Material and T&B Scala Business. Being in and around construction for close to 50 yrs. he loved talking about the different jobs, operating the different heavy machinery and the tractors he ran and owned.

Tom leaves behind three children; son Bradley

(Valerie) Scala, daughters Caron Scala, Mary Scala (Tyler Waite) son-in-law. He is survived by mother Barbara Scala, sisters Kathleen (Tom) Socha, Karen (Joe) Cappelli, Laura (Maurice) Lanier, Barbara McVicker, Linda Lovelady, brothers David Scala and Kenneth Scala. He also leaves behind 9 grandchildren, 18 nieces and nephews, 27 great nieces and nephews and a great-great niece and nephew. He was preceded in death by his father Frank Scala and brother Joseph Scala.
