Robert C. Smith

Passed Away on January 28, 2019

Robert C. Smith, age 32, passed away in his home in Gilbert, AZ on Monday, January 28, 2019.

He was born on April 10, 1986 in Mount Vernon, New York to Glenn Smith and Emilia (Cuomo) Davis. Affectionately known as “Bert”, he briefly went to Gilbert Community College, but quickly decided to take advantage of his natural inclination to be self-taught and made a name for himself as a talented software developer.

Bert was known for his very quick and always present sense of humor, being willing to help anyone with anything and above all Robert was known for his exceptional kindness. Robert was at his happiest when surrounded by his family and friends -something he made a priority.

Left to honor and remember him is his daughter, Maya who was the apple of his eye. Robert believed that close friends were family, and is survived by his brothers David, Austin, Jared, Michael, Cord, and Steve. Sisters Bettina, Jaimee, and Nana. His parents Steven and Emilia Davis as well as Glenn and Theresa Smith, his grandmother Theresa Cuomo and countless friends and family.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Mountain View Funeral Home 7900 East Main Street, Mesa, AZ 85207
