Myrtle Christine Currier Hamlet

Born November 2, 1915 in Schuyler Virginia to Charles Lee Currier and Artie Amanda Currier. Myrtle went to be with the lord on May 28, 2017.

Myrtle was 101 years old and was cared for by her daughter Judy Caul Cook in Arizona.

Myrtle passed away due to pulmonary complications from pneumonia and dementia.

She served as secretary to the Doe club for one year in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Myrtle was wife and secretary to former Judge, John Hamlet.

Myrtle was owner and landlord to many properties in Charlottesville, Virginia and managed her own business until she was 85.

She lived on 1st street in Charlottesville, Virginia for over 30 years. Myrtle traveled the world and lived a long and happy life.

She was preceded in death by Clarence Currier, Harry Lee Currier, Vivian Currier, Vaughn Currier, Wesley Currier, sister, Helen Currier Lyle, and by her son, Andrew Burtrand Caul Jr. (Jack Lee). Myrtle is survived by her daughter, Judith Myrtle Caul Cook of Arizona.

During her lifetime, she welcomed 10 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.

She is much loved and will be greatly missed.

A visitation for Myrtle will be held Friday, June 9, 2017 from 4-7 p.m., followed by a funeral service Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 11:00 at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7900 E. Main Street, Mesa, Arizona, 85207.
