Kelcie Daugherty passed away on October 12, 2020 at 11:30PM at his home in Mesa AZ. Kelcie was 85 and passed of Alzheimer’s disease.
Kelcie was born on March 16, 1935 in Butler County KY to Anderson and Ploya Daugherty. Kelcie was proceeded in life by Beulah Embry, Loretta Clutts, Ravon Daugherty, Inna Daugherty, Ruby Daugherty.
Kelcie was wed on October 8 1955 To Avalon Carle Green whose bond had survived 66 years. Avalon proceeded Kelcie on June 30, 2020. Kelcie is survived by four children Deborah Ann Daugherty, Cindy Lou Anzalone, Timothy Lee Daugherty and Bruce Alan Daugherty. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Kelcie worked as a tool and die machinist for 27 years
at General Electric located in Bloomington IL., he took early retirement in 1983. Kelcie enjoyed the aspects of farm life in Walpella IL where he raised his children at a slower pace of life. For health reasons Kelcie and Avalon moved to Mesa AZ in 1984. In his later years, Kelcie enjoyed performing and entertaining as “Kelcie In Song” at senior centers and other venues in the greater Mesa area. Kelcie had a large influence in many ways and affected many people along the way, he will be missed.
Services and visitation will be held on October 19, 2020 at 1:00PM at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery 7900 E Main St Mesa AZ 85207. For more information call 480-832-2850
