Passed Away on April 8, 2020


On Wednesday, April 8, 2020, Jeffrey Scott Spooner, loving father, son, and brother, passed away at the age of 56 in Mesa, Arizona.

Jeff was born on January 28, 1964 in Omaha, Nebraska to Gary and Elaine (Beckfield) Spooner. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Omaha, Nebraska in 1964. He graduated from Westwood High School in Mesa, Arizona in June of 1982.

Jeff valued spending quality time with his family and friends and treasured every minute of it. He would happily spend all day with his grandchildren, whom he adored, watching cartoons or playing games. He had a passion for rock climbing and collecting extraordinary rocks. He enjoyed collecting coins and loved to be outdoors fishing, camping, and skiing. He was an avid music lover; and was very talented at playing the drums and enjoyed playing the guitar. He was known for his quick wit and sarcasm, his infectious smile and laugh, and his kind and compassionate spirit.

Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Elaine. He is survived by his father, Gary, his brother, Daniel, his children, Jennifer, Jaimie, and Jason, his grandchildren, Kara, Jessica, Rilynn, Myla, James, Zachary, Jason Jr., Patric, and Benjamin, his niece Chelsey and several other loving relatives.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 17th, 2020 at the Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery between the hours of 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. located at 7900 E Main St, Mesa, AZ 85207. Flowers or donations may be sent to 3687 E. Southern Avenue Apache Junction, AZ 85119.
