Irene May Burnham passed away February 25, 2019 in Mesa, Arizona. Irene was born in Well, Nevada, during the great depression.  Her dad was a baker and her mom washed and ironed clothes to make ends meet.  They soon relocated to Salt Lake City, Utah, where she and her sister, Betty, grew to be playful little girls who didn’t know their family was poor. Maybe the times drove their parents apart, because they divorced when Irene was nine years old.  Eight years later, Irene graduated from East High School and enrolled in modeling school, did a short stint in modeling, then went on to become a United Airlines Flight Attendant.  She married Kent Farsnworth, but later divorced.

She Married Bruce DuAmarell and they had two children, a boy and a girl. She worked as a mortgage loan officer for many years.  After a divorce from Bruce, she decided to make Arizona her home.  Her loves included traveling, many service projects, arts & crafts, crocheting, gardening and reading.  She thoroughly loved her church associations and activities and living in Fountain of the Sun, with her many friends and neighbors.

Irene is preceded in death by her parents, and son, Phillip DuAmarell. She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne DuAmarell, sister, Betty (Roy) Poulsen, niece, Valerie Child and nephew, Steven Poulsen.

Services for Irene will be held Monday, March 4, 2019 at 11:00 at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7900 E. Main St. Mesa, Arizona 85207.
