Helen M.  Buchholz Obituary

Helen M. Buchholz, age 91, of Mesa, was called to Heaven on October 29, 2015. She was born on July 25, 1924 in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Claude and Gladys Arnett. Survivors include her son-in- law, Bill Gillmore, step-children, Carol Ann (Robert) Benson and Ralph William (Nookhai) Buchholz; grandchildren, William Gillmore Jr., Robin Lynn Gillmore, Dale Gene Gillmore, Mischelle Johnson, Joel Hahn; one great- grandchild, Brenna Johnson; a step-grandchild, Michael G. (Courtney) Benson and step-great-grandchild, Caroline Benson.  Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Reuben Buchholz; two daughters, Carol Jean Hahn and Judith Ann Gillmore; brothers and sisters, Ursal, Earlene, Zola, Irean and Alverna. Helen was a very religious woman in the Lutheran Church and enjoyed a long and colorful life.  She will be greatly missed by all. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 807 N. Stapley Drive in Mesa. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Helen’s name to St. Luke Lutheran Church would be appreciated.  Inurnment will take place at Mountain View Cemetery in Mesa. Mountain View Funeral Home is assisting the family.
