Frances (Franny) Ethel Dunn Peck passed away March 14, 2015 at Banner Baywood Hospital in Mesa, AZ. Franny was born in Sioux City, IA, April 5, 1925. She was the daughter of Thomas Francis and Matie Ethel Fineout Dunn. She attended school through her sophomore year at Conde, South Dakota, where she participated in track and softball as well as chorus and band. She moved to Burlington, Iowa with her parents in 1941. She graduated from Burlington High School in 1943. She managed the catalog desk at Sears and Roebuck for 12 years and was the administrative assistant at the Des Moines County Extension Service for over 22 years. She married Keith Peck, December 22, 1957 at Grace United Methodist Church in Burlington, Iowa. She dearly loved her family, planning family get togethers for holidays and cooking and baking for them and her friends. Her hobbies included cooking, reading, crocheting, and crafts. She was an avid bowler and inducted into the Burlington Women’s Bowling Association Hall of Fame and recipient of their Merit Award. She enjoyed baking for Farmers Markets and enjoyed going to craft shows. She was a member of Burlington Eagles Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Grace United Methodist Church and past member of Burlington Business and Professional Women’s Club. Franny and Keith became permanent residents of Mesa, AZ in 2013 and enjoyed the warm weather. Preceded in death by her husband Keith Olen Peck, her 5 brothers Paul, Joseph, Walter, Harry, and Charles (died in infancy), 4 sisters Isabel, Gladys, Helen, and Rose, 1 granddaughter Tracy, numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins. She is survived by her daughters Linda (Gary) Beelman, Dixie (Craig) Haden, Grandchildren Scott Bessine and Misty (Matt) Dion. Great Grandsons Brandon, Justin, and Xavier. Visitation will be held 10:00 am March 20, 2015 followed by funeral service at 11:00 am Mountain View Funeral Home 7900 E. Main St. Mesa AZ. 85207

    Sounds like Franny was a wonderful, caring person. What you’d want your grandma to be like. I know our co-worker and friend, Misty Dion, will miss her tremendously.
