Douglas Thomas Corrao left his earthly existence for a new adventure on 28 Febraury 2015. Doug was born in Brooklyn, NY on 20 May 1940 to parents Louis Charles Corrao and Lillian Delores Douglass. Doug moved with his family to Florida in the early fifties and at 17 joined the Navy and spent 8 years travelling the world. On one of his tours he got to go to Rome, Italy and see Mohammed Ali fight in the Olympics. After being discharged from the Navy in 1963 in Bremerton, WA he met and married his first wife, Judith Anne Hughes. He started working for the Boeing Company out of Seattle, WA and travelled the world with them. He retired from Boeing in 1999 and settled in Mesa, AZ. He married his present wife, Joellen Benton in 1982. He is survived by his wife, Joellen; daughter Jennifer, granddaughters Alyssa and Janessa Corrao Bal, son Brendon, son Joshua and stepson Eric Parker (Kristie and her children Jeremy and Ashleigh Shoop). His son Stephen predeparted this life in 2008 and he is now with his dad. He is also survived by his sister Marita Marks (Francis), Louis Charles (Jane) and many nephews, nieces and grand nephews and grand nieces. A viewing/celebration of Doug Corrao’s life will be held 7:00pm – 8:30pm on Monday March 9, 2015 at the LDS Church 2339 S Crismon Rd Mesa, AZ. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at All Saints Catholic Church 1534 North Recker Road, Mesa, AZ 10:30am Tuesday March 10, 2015. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center.
