Doris Carreras, 69, of Mesa, Arizona passed away peacefully on December 30, 2017 surrounded by family. She was born on December 1, 1948 in Mesa, Arizona to her loving mother, Laura Jean Blaylock Eikstaedt.
Doris enjoyed many hobbies, including shopping, trips to the flea market, and baking. She was an avid reader and was known to family and friends as a bookworm. Doris had a kind heart. Her greatest gift was helping people and her family meant the world to her.
While Doris was born in Arizona, she moved to Colorado where she discovered a passion for photography. After spending several years there, she returned to Tucson, Arizona and eventually came back to Mesa. It was in Mesa where she met her loving companion, Michael.
Funeral Services for Doris will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7900 E. Main Street, Mesa, Arizona 85207 on January 11, 2018 at 3:00 pm.
Rest in peace my friend. You will forever be missed and loved. I am so fortunate to have spent time with you on Christmas Eve! Thank you for enjoying my tamales! Knew you loved them so much. Spread your wings and fly!! May God bless your soul and give Mike the strength he needs!!
