Delbert Leroy Teille

Passed Away on February 27, 2018

Teille, Delbert Leroy. Born: March 24, 1940, in Barberton, Ohio. Entered into rest: February 27, 2018, in Phoenix, (Ahwatukee) Arizona.

Delbert (Dell) passed peacefully into the loving and welcoming arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at Hospice of the Valley in Gilbert, Az.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Elizabeth Ann (Betty) Teille, 2 sisters (Joyce Davis of Medina, Ohio, and Ellen Osbourne of Akron, Ohio.) 3 sons; Dale (Tanya), Glenn (Sherri), and Brian. He also has 5 grandchildren he was very proud of (Sara Jo, Brianna, Sean, Logan, and Ashton.) Dell was proceeded in death by his father George W. Teille and Mother Dorma M. Teille.

Dell was a school bus driver for the Kyrene Elementary School District, retiring in 2002 after 16 years with the district. He was an enthusiastic model train collector, and loved actually riding the rails every chance he had. He also spent many hours listening to his big band music.

Dell and Betty were prior members of Hi-Way Baptist Church in East Mesa, then attended Foothills Baptist Church in Ahwatukee for over the past 25 years, involving themselves in many ministries, especially with the youth groups.

Viewing will be held on Thursday evening, March 1st at Mountain View Mortuary located at 7900 E. Main Street in East Mesa from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 2nd at 11:00 am (10:00 am Visitation) at their church, Foothills Baptist, located at 15450 S. 21st St in Phoenix (85048) with a Celebration of Life luncheon immediately following in the church’s fellowship hall. A private graveside service will follow later in the afternoon back at Mountain View Mortuary.

Dell’s wife Betty and his family would like to give a special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and entire staff at both Chandler Regional Hospital I.C.U. as well as Hospice of the Valley’s Lund Home facility for the superior care they provided Dell during his stay with them. Their support and help to Dell and his family was immeasurable.

At the family’s request, in lieu of flowers, they are asking for donations to be made in his name to the Ahwatukee YMCA Youth Services Fund.
