Forever In the Hearts They Leave Behind

Clara Page DeDobbelaere

Passed Away on April 18, 2020

Clara Page DeDobbelaere 89, left us on April 18, 2020 with her family by her side in Mesa, Arizona.

Clara was born September 3, 1930 in Kittery, Maine to Stanley and Evelyn Sprague. She was one of 8 children. She spent most of her childhood on a farm where she learned the meaning of hard work. At the age of 14, Clara learned to sew, as a member of her 4-H Club. Sewing and quilting then became her passion her entire life. She graduated from Spaulding High School in 1948. She later met and married George Page in 1949. They raised 7 children.

In 1971, Clara and her family moved to Mesa, Arizona. She was employed by JC Penney as head of the Tailoring and Alteration Department, until she retired in 1987.

Her Faith in God was always strong. She loved to attend church, taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, and showed her love for the Lord by loving others. That big smile, open heart, and fondness for “Peeps” will never be forgotten.

Clara is survived by her sister, Barbara Talon and brother, Kenneth Sprague; her children: Dennis Page, Peter Page, George Page Jr., Cynthia Hunt, Holly Page, and Penny Newby-Razzano and their spouses. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and her trusted friend Armond Will.

There will be a visitation for Clara Thursday, April 30, 2020 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7900 East Main Street, Mesa, AZ 85207. Private services will be held Friday.
