On Thursday June 18, 2020 we lost my beautiful mother, grandma and great grandma, Virginia Corse. She was known to the great grandkids as Big Grandma or Big Momma. It’s a name my grandchildren came up with and it stuck with her for nine years, even though mom was a little Italian grandma. She was known by the name Jeannie to family and friends.

My mother always put everyone, family and friends before herself. She was a great baker, cook and crafter. She prayed for everyone, and always followed up with a phone call, letter or prayer card in the mail. 15 years earlier she lost my dad and went to do volunteer work for 10 years at Banner Baywood in the gift shop. Everyone knew her there and loved her; doctors, nurses, visitors and especially the service dogs, that knew she had a treat container with treats for them. She fixed the hospital chapel up with flowers that she arranged and took care of. The last 5 years she spent baking and crafting for the grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Carrie Rizzo and Mary Ann Napodano. She had 5 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren, the newest one born the day after she passed. She also had 4  for grand dogs, and 8 great grand dogs, to which she spoiled them just as much as the grandchildren!! She is greatly missed. She touched the lives of many and heaven has gained a new angel.
