Thomas Francis Beagen Jr., 71, passed away peacefully in his home in the presence of loved ones on Monday evening, April 10th, 2017.  Tom was born in Providence, Rhode Island on July 21st, 1945 to Thomas Francis Beagen Sr. and Margaret Susan Beagen.  He has four siblings: Geraldine Denton, Arline Overson, Robert Beagen, and William Beagen.   He is survived by his wife Ruth Beagen, daughters Brenda Overson and Kacie Redmond, son Bradley Dunagan, and his five grandchildren Lavoy, Devlynn, Dylan, Jager, and Cruz.  Tom and Ruth were married on April 21st, 1984, and on this day Tom embraced Bradley and Brenda as his own.  Tom and Ruth’s first child Kacie was born on February 22nd, 1985, an important milestone in Tom’s life.

Tom was a lifelong Boston Red Sox fan and anyone close to him knew it immediately. Tom took immense pride in his work and enjoyed a successful career in sales.  When he wasn’t busy providing for his family, he loved watching sports, playing golf, learning, traveling, and laughing with close friends and loved ones.  Despite his medical hurdles, he courageously lived a full life and traveled the world with his family.  Unlike many of us, Tom always appreciated the little things in life, and it was in these little moments, he found great joy with a “twinkle in his eye and a feather on his nose.”

He will be dearly missed.

Memorial services will be held Saturday April 15th 9:30am, at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery in Mesa, AZ.

Donations can be made in his name to Hospice of the Valley.
