Steven Craig Winquist, age 71, of Mesa, AZ, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Banner Heart Hospital, Mesa, AZ.

Steve was born to Elmer and Bertha Winquist on March 15, 1948 in Alexandria, MN.  Steve graduated from Grand Rapids High School in 1966.  After Graduation, Steve moved to Fairbanks, AK where he worked for George Horner Construction for a Short Time. He bought his first truck in 1974 and started hauling groceries to the North Slope during the Alaska Pipeline and was contracted through Kodiak Oil Field Haulers until he and his partners, Phil Tannehill and James Weymiller, started Petroleum Sales and CEM Leasing which they continue to this day.

Most of all he loved to spend time with his family and friends making memories, golfing, cooking meals on the outside grill while having a couple cocktails with everyone.  He had a very large heart and enjoyed life to the fullest.  Steve was loved by all and will be truly missed.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Steve is survived by his Special friend, Vicki Marsh of Mesa AZ, Brother, Claude (Cindy) Winquist of Apache Junction, AZ; Sister, Glenna (Hally) Graff of Palisade, MN; Grandson, Alex Morse (Sierra Lancour) of Gwinn, MI; Grandson, Brook Olsen of Gwinn, MI; Close Friend, Floyd (Mic) Kackley, of Grand Rapids, MN; daughter Kim (Mike) Wagner of Grand Rapids, MN; daughter Cindy (Kurt) Ogle of Grand Rapids, MN; Very Special Great Granddaughter Payton Morse of Gwinn, MI; Nieces and Nephews; Business Partners, Phil Tannehill of Fairbanks, AK and Jim Weymiller of Fairbanks, AK and many friends in Mesa, AZ, Grand Rapids, MN, and Fairbanks, AK.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 10, 2019 at Apache Wells Country Club from 2:00pm to 4:00 pm.  Celebration of Life will be held in Grand Rapids, MN and Fairbanks, AK at a later date.
