Ruth Ann (Stonelake) Beagen, 70, passed away peacefully in her home with her treasured sister by her side on Thursday morning, November 9, 2017. Ruth was born in Waukegan, Illinois on June 8, 1947 to Raymond Edwin Stonelake and Lois Marie Stonelake who have long passed before her.  She has two siblings, Linda Weerts and Timothy Stonelake.  Ruth is preceded in death by her loving husband Thomas Francis Beagen Jr.  She is survived by her three beautiful children Brenda Overson, Bradley Dunagan, and Kacie Redmond, and five grandchildren Lavoy, Devlynn, Dylan, Jager, and Cruz.

Ruth’s life was a garden of faith, family, and friends.  Her parents instilled in her a rich faith in the Lord, and it was this faith that influenced all facets of her life.  She touched many lives with her generosity always sending small gifts and surprises to the people in her life, be they well-known or complete strangers.  Ruth was blessed with the opportunity to travel the world with her husband Tom, where they gained some of their most treasured experiences together.  Ruth had impeccable talent in gardening and interior design.  She had a keen eye for beauty and this was evident in both her happiest and hardest of times.  She always found beauty in the world drawing from her Finnish “sisu” which gave her strength.  She held great joy and pride in her heart as a mother and grandmother, doting on the lives of her family.

She will be dearly missed.
