Robert J Pepas passed away suddenly early in the morning on Friday, July 27th in Mesa, AZ.
Bob was born on April 25, 1945 in Toledo, Ohio to the late john and Dorothy Pepas. He graduated from Clay High School in Oregon, Ohio in 1963. Bob served in the U.S. Navy and later worked his “dream” job at WTOD radio station in Toledo as the music director and DJ. He moved to Arizona in 1981 to get away from those brutal Ohio winters and worked at KNIX before starting his employment at Motorola/General Dynamics where he was for 30 years, retiring in 2014.
A lifelong “Buckeye” fan, Bob is survived by his wife of 26 years, Sheryl Pepas; his brother Paul Pepas (Linda) of Whitehouse, Ohio; His daughter Kristi Redding (Roy) of Mesa; His two step daughters Jessica Rice of Queen Creek and Chalice Roy (Stuart) of Alexandria, Virginia; grandchildren Hailey, Tanner, Halley, Sawyer, Austin, Dakota and Noah; and great granddaughter, Theran. He is also survived by his two furry friends, Allie and Bella.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, August 4th at 11:00am at Red Mountain United Methodist Church which is located at 2936 N Power Rd, Mesa. Donations may be made to Red Mountain United Methodist Church, St Judes, an animal rescue charity or a charity or your choice in his honor.
