On Monday, October 7, 2019, Phyllis Jean Typer, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away at the age of 90.
Phyllis was born on November 19, 1928 in Polo, IL to Howard and Mildred (Gilbert) Typer, and the oldest of four children; Theodore, Marcia (Schutt) and Mick. On June 3, 1951, she married Melvin Dale Dailey from Stillman Valley, IL, where they raised three daughters, Valerie, Michelle and Amber. The family relocated to Mesa, AZ in June of 1964. Phyllis retired from General Motors Proving Grounds in 1992 after serving 27 years.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Brandie, her daughter, Michelle, and her brother, Ted. She is survived by her daughters Valerie and Amber, her grandsons Scott and Marcus, and six great-grandchildren, Alexis, Sydney, Kasey, Brett, Taylor and Milena. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 14, 2019 at Mountain View Funeral Home & Cemetery at 2 o’clock p.m. with viewing beginning at noon.
