Nancy graduated from Odon High School, Class of 1956. She married Clyde Willard May on August 25, 1957 in Odon, Indiana. They recently celebrated 61 years of marriage.
Nancy spent her childhood on a beautiful farm in Indiana. During her first year of life she contracted whooping cough and miraculously survived. She was proud of being an Odon Bulldog and was crowned Senior Class Prom Queen. Her father passed away when she was a senior in high school and her mother sold the farm and they moved into town. Shortly thereafter Nancy went on a blind date and met her future husband Willard who was stationed at Crane Naval Base in Crane, Indiana. Over the years they moved frequently living in; Indiana, Virginia, Florida, Wyoming, Guam, South Carolina, Utah, Montana and for the last 32 years in Arizona. In 1970 Nancy decided to go to Cosmetology School and proudly kept her license current until the time of her death.
Nancy was a beautiful woman, always classy and well put together. She loved people, giving, holidays, animals, fashion, and her family. We will miss her smile and the way she would light up any room she walked into. We will miss her ice cream dinners, her silly songs, her willingness to let the kids play with her makeup and jewelry. We will miss her hugs, her kisses, her offering of food for all occasions and her way of saying, “I Love You”.
