Please allow us to introduce to you our beloved Maggie Renee Jones. To know her was to love her and be loved by her, and she had so much love to give.
Maggie was born on December 4, 2001 in Auburn, Indiana, the youngest of eight children to Keith and Adele (Daugherty) Jones. At the age of 5 years old, Maggie and her family moved to Mesa, Arizona where she attended Augusta Ranch Elementary School, Smith Junior High School, and Skyline High School. If being a high school student isn’t demanding enough, Maggie also spent the last 18 months as a team member with Peter Piper Pizza.
Maggie’s friends and family remember her bright spirit and her big heart. She loved her family, her friends, and her dog: Petey, and she shared her love and kindness with everyone she met. Family was a relative term for Maggie, as she adopted countless people in her life as family and was a source of joy and comfort to so many. Maggie cared about people in the purest and most altruistic way, she wanted people to know they were loved.
A daughter, sister, aunt, student, and coworker, Maggie’s light was a force to be reckoned with. Her talents were vibrant in her art and music. Fondly remembered for her stained glass work – which has been featured in the Mesa Arts Center, and her eclectic taste in music that has brought so many smiles to those around her.
Mere words cannot begin to describe Maggie, the complex and magnificent person she is, and all the ways in which she touched those around her.
Maggie took her last breath on September 4, 2019. She had shared all of the love she had to give. Now it is her turn to dance in the sky with all her days filled with love and light.
When Maggie passed she was greeted by her grandparents, John Daugherty, Wilbur Jones, Pattie Jones, and Cheryl Anderson; and her uncle, Kevin Jones.
Maggie lives on in the hearts of her parents, Keith and Adele Jones; her siblings, Mandi Jones, Angie (Chad) Collins, LeeAnn (Steve) Collins, Ryan (Malarie) Jones, Bert (Hope) Taft, Jordan Jones, and Nick Deem; her grandparents, Jean and Walt Zimmerman, her beloved nieces and nephews, and countless family and friends.
All are welcome to attend a Celebration of Maggie’s Life on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 1:00 PM, at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7900 E Main Street, Mesa, Arizona 85207, 480-832-2850.
