Luba Dari, 88, of Mesa, Arizona passed away on December 19, 2017. She was born in Swan River, Manitoba, Canada on November 18, 1929 to Jakob and Krystyna Shybunia (dec.). She was beloved sister to Sirgey, Fred (dec.), Nina, and Nick. After meeting her husband, Robert, they married and moved to North Tonawanda, NY. They raised three children; Bruce, Robin (Andrew) Robinson, and Penny (Tim Zeilenga).
After the passing of her husband on June of 1981, Luba moved to Arizona. She fell in love with the beauty of the Arizona desert and loved to spend time outdoors.
Both in New York and Arizona, Luba enjoyed gardening and sharing the fruits of her labors with friends and family. Luba was a very generous person. She always opened her home to anyone in need of place to celebrate a holiday.
The biggest joy of her life was her family including three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was affectionately known as Gram and GG to her grandchildren; Jillian (Charlie) Morris, Krystina Robinson, and Robert (Jessica) Dari; and her great-grandchildren Julia, Anthony, Emily, Joshua, Elizabeth, James, and Catherine.
Luba loved to travel. She visited many places including the birthplace of her parents, Russia; Israel, Greece, Hawaii, and Italy. No matter where she went, she was always spreading love to those in need. She lived a life of service to others.
A memorial service will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home on Saturday December 23, 2017 at 2:00 pm in Mesa, Arizona.
