Judith Elek Mercier, a resident of Leisure World since 2013, passed away on February 16, 2020 after a brief illness at the age of 75. Heaven celebrates her angelic arrival.
Judy grew up in Detroit, Michigan and moved to Arizona in 1983. She loved all living things, from gardening to animals to her precious family and multitude of friends. Like with her beautiful plants and flowers, she nurtured and grew all of her relationships. Alongside Bob she was an avid NASCAR fan, a line dancer and table shuffleboard player, and attendee at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Mesa. Music, cooking, and feeding hummingbirds also brought her joy. She lived each day with abundant joy and was a person of deep love and faith.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, February 29th and an internment ceremony will be held on Monday, March 2nd at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
