Haskelle Porter House Jr. was born to Haskelle Porter House and Victoria Myrie on December 31, 1946 in The Bronx, New York. He was the younger of the two children born to this Union. He was raised and educated in the New York City school system and attended George Washington High School. He later attended The City College of New York. Throughout his childhood he was happy, charismatic and active.

In 1968, Haskelle entered the United States Army as a Paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division of the Vietnam War. During his 3-year term of service, he was awarded numerous decorations including the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Infantryman's Badge and the Parachute Badge. Wounded during service, he was also awarded The Purple Heart. Upon his honorable discharge in 1972, Haskelle returned to New York City, New York.

Always holding the role of provider at the helm, Haskelle worked various jobs throughout his career and beyond. He became a Court Officer at The Bronx Family Court. A devout Christian, he worked towards becoming a minister and spent several years doing his theological studies under the esteemed Reverend Herbert Daugherty in Brooklyn, New York. With a new sense of faith and purpose, and after working at The Queens Supreme Court for over 20 years, Haskelle retired. In 2004, he decided to leave New York City and relocate to Arizona. Haskelle continued to share his testimony and ministerial skills.
