On July 9, 2010 Audrey E. Grant, 75, of Apache Junction, AZ passed away peacefully at her home in the arms of her husband, Monty at 4:30 am. She lost her long struggle with Parkinson’s’, Fibromyalgia and Sjogrens. She was born September 4, 1934 in Fremont. OH. She was the daughter of the late Lester and Edna Gallatin, also formerly of Fremont, OH. In August 1958, she moved to Arizona with her former husband and their 3 children. After moving to AZ, she began working for an answering service. She also worked as a waitress in a small restaurant in Old Town Scottsdale, as well as the old Lutz Pharmacy. She worked at the 52nd St. Motorola for a number of years before she transferred to the Dobson Motorola where she also worked for many years. She had a variety of jobs during her lifetime. She worked as a bookkeeper, secretary, bartender, and nail technician. Her last job was as a wire harness technician for the Apache helicopter. She enjoyed trying her hand at many difficult hobbies, such as ceramics, floral arrangements, needlepoint, stain glass and sewing. In the late 60’s, she was a member of the AZ Search and Rescue Team. She also enjoyed spelunking. She is preceded in death by her son Tracy. She is survived by her husband Monty Grant, her son Edward Golamb of Mesa, daughter Tanya Love of Mesa, grandsons William Golamb, Reuben Golamb and Aaron Golamb, granddaughters Samantha Golamb, Trisha Golamb and great-granddaughter Aubrey Golamb. The funeral service will be held Monday July 19, 2010 at 1:00 pm at Saint George Roman Catholic Parish, 300 E. 16th Ave., Apache Junction, AZ (480-982-2929). Interment to be at Mountain View Cemetery.
