Charlotte G. Snoddon
October 1, 1924 – November 11, 2018
Charlotte was born in Germany in 1924. She immigrated to the United States with her family in 1926, and lived with them in Port Huron Michigan. She graduated from Port Huron High School in 1942. She was employed by Muller Brass Company in Port Huron and later by the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor Michigan.
She married William (Bill) J. Snoddon in 1942. They remained married for 68 years. Early in their lives together they lived for several years in Minnesota, before moving to Sandusky Michigan where they stayed for 26 years. In 1982, for their retirement years, they moved to Leisure World in Mesa Arizona. For the past few years, Charlotte and Bill lived in Friendship Village, Tempe Arizona.
Charlotte is survived by Bill and her daughters Linda Snoddon and Nancy Finston. She had a son Brian Snoddon who is deceased. Her brother Paul Gurgle and her sister Elizabeth Musgrave are also both deceased. She has two grandchildren, David and and Alex Finston.
Charlotte enjoyed gardening and every year she would can dozens of quarts of vegetables from her garden. She loved spending summers at the family cottage near Caseville, Michigan. Once they moved to Arizona, Charlotte and Bill spent their summers in Show Low.
She volunteered for many years in hospital and Lutheran Church organizations, including the Lutheran thrift shop in Mesa, Arizona. She loved playing golf and and singing, and served in golf and music groups in Michigan and Leisure World. She was a longtime member of Love of Christ Lutheran Church, Mesa Arizona.
