Charles Gaston, known to many as “Chuck” or “Charlie” passed away on March 20, 2018, at the age of 77 years. Born in Pittsburg, Kansas on August 31, 1940, Charles enjoyed growing up on the farm with his mother and father, Weldon and Charline, as well as his Grandpa Clyde and Grandma Grace. Charles earned his Bachelor’s degree from University of Missouri-Rolla in Mining Engineering and soon after moved to Arizona where he met his future wife, Rosario. Rose and Charles married on August 6, 1971 and spent the next 46 years loving their beautiful family. After retiring from the mining industry, Charles enjoyed driving cab and talking to people about his best friend, Jesus.
Survivors include his wife Rose, son Clyde, and daughters Charline and Jessica. He also leaves behind his sister, Charlotte, and six grandchildren (Dalton, Brooke, Shelby, Nathan, Noah, and Talen). He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Weldon and Charline Gaston, and his grandson, Dustin Smith.
A memorial service in honor of Charles will be held on March 27, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at Queen Valley Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Queen Valley Baptist Church or the Queen Valley Fire Department.
